Story Synopsis:

The story starts with Raghuram (Prakash Raj) who jogs in a park. Sudhakar (Jagapathi Babu) spends his time with his 2 year old daughter in the same park around a tot lot. He takes an interval from that girl and sits beside Raghu Ram and both introduce each other. The conversation starts between the two with the topic of that child.Raghu Ram starts narrating about his daughter Abhi (Trisha) to Sudhakar. He narrates his entire flash back saying about all tender feelings he had with her through out his life. He starts with the birth of Abhi and narrates till her marriage to a Sardarji (Ganesh). That’s a set of tender feelings which has to be watched on screen.Finally after listening to the story of Raghu Ram and his feelings on his daughter, Sudhakar understands how he should make up his mind and heart with respect to his daughter. That’s the end of the film.

Story Synopsis:

Nandu (Bobby Deol) is an orphan, who ends up becoming an assassin. One day, he gets accused of killing a politician, even though he is completely innocent. In his efforts to run from the police, he ends up in a train. It is here that he meets Shekhar (Pradeep), who is going back to his home after a gap of fourteen years. Somehow, police manages to trace Nandu in the train. In order to catch him, the police officers shoot at Nandu. "Straight" unfolds the story of a London-based Indian - Pinu (Vinay Pathak). He is the successful owner of "Gaylord", a restaurant located in central London. Being an introvert, he doesn't have any real friends and seeks friendship from his loving brother - Rajat (Siddhartha Makkar). Although he often lands himself in trouble because of Pinu, Rajat is fond of his brother, as he finds him very funny.Life becomes interesting for Pinu, when Kamlesh (Anuj Chaudari) and Renu (Gul Panag) enter his life. Kamlesh approaches Pinu to hire him as a stand-up comedian at the restaurant. After denying initially, Pinu appoints him as a cook at his restaurant, allowing him to perform his stand-up acts in the evening. Meanwhile, Renu is appointed as the cashier of the restaurant. Passionate about the art of caricature, she makes interesting caricatures for customers, increasing the popularity of the restaurant further. Life goes on smoothly and becomes more dramatic for Pinu, who gels with Kamlesh & Renu and even hangs out a bit with them, bringing about a change in his introvert personality.
