Story Synopsis:

Owen is a kind-hearted but nerdy teenager with a knack for building clever gadgets. Owen befriends the local legend no one has ever seen: the Mad Man of the Mountain, by building a fort - booby-trapped to keep intruders away - where he leaves gifts for this “friend” he has never spoken to.Owen’s life becomes exciting when a trio of bumbling diamond thieves comes through town, their loot being carried by a golden retriever named Diamond. Owen and Diamond become friends, and Owen soon learns of the thieves’ villainous plan. Owen must convince the skeptical townspeople of the reality of the theft, while simultaneously trying to foil the robbers, defend himself from the town’s bullies, and keep the suffering Diamond alive
